Taxi/Ride Share/Car Rentals

Taxi fares from Boston Logan Airport to Downtown Boston will vary between $20.00 - $45.00 (depending of the hour and the day) and do not include gratuity or tolls. All taxi vehicles at the Airport are metered. Please, note that beyond 20 miles from Boston there is a flat rate of $3.20.

***All taxis departing Logan are charged an additional fee of $2.00, plus a $4.50 fee for harbor tunnel crossings. Always ask driver for a receipt.

Car Rentals
Currently, 11 rental car companies operate at Logan International Airport. They include: Alamo, Avis, Budget, Dollar, Enterprise, Hertz, National, Payless, SIXT, Thrifty and Zipcar.

In Terminals C & E, all rental car companies have direct line telephone boards connecting to the local facility and their worldwide reservation centers.    

Each rental car company has complimentary shuttle buses that transport passengers to/from the terminal and the rental car facility. Shuttles run frequently and stop curbside on the arrival level for passengers to board. Departure level service is available on request.

MBTA Commuter Rail


Train services from T.F. Green International Airport to Providence.

The airport is conveniently connected to the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) commuter trains through the InterLink train station. Travelers can access the InterLink directly from the airport terminal through the skywalk. To get to the skywalk, proceed down the elevators to the ground level and walk to the far front left of the terminal, past the Visitor Information table, and look for signs directing to the InterLink connector. Weekday MBTA commuter rail service is available between Southern Rhode Island (Wickford Junction), Rhode Island T. F. Green International Airport and downtown Providence, Attleboro, Boston (Back Bay & South Stations), Canton Junction, Mansfield, Sharon and South Attleboro, MA.  Daily service is available from Providence Station and those points.

Kennedy Plaza is located in the heart of downtown Providence and is a short walk to all the hotels and Rhode Island Convention Center.

MBTA Commuter Rail


Train Service from Logan Airport to Providence.

The Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) runs low-cost commuter trains to Providence from Boston and other points in Massachusetts. Regional trains take 48 minutes and range in price from $12.00 to $19.00.

Amtrak offers many daily runs between South Station and Providence. Amtrak ranges from $10.00 - $63.00 and takes 40 minutes. Schedules and fares can be accessed at

South Station may be accessed from Logan Airport by either Silver Line Shuttle or taxi. The Silver Line service takes approximately 20 minutes. The Silver Line is free from Logan Airport but you will still need a ticket

Peter Pan Bus Service


Peter Pan Bus Lines has flexible bus service to Boston Logan Airport 7 days a week. Coaches are equipped with WiFi, DVD players and iPod jacks. Professional, courteous drivers will make sure you get to your flight relaxed and on time. Please be sure to choose the Downtown Providence option when booking tickets. Buses arrive and depart from the Rhode Island Convention Center.

Massport Shuttle Buses

Massport Shuttle Buses serve all terminals at approximately 10-minute intervals, Massport shuttle buses are wheelchair lift-equipped. They also serve the MBTA Airport Station, Logan Water Shuttle dock and Economy Parking. Buses are equipped with a visual and audio stop announcement system. Distances from curbside drop-off areas to airline ticket counters vary from 50 - 200 feet. Curbside skycap services are available from most airlines.

Valet parking is available at the Omni Providence Hotel.

  • Overnight valet: $34 with unlimited in/out privileges
  • There is an additional fee of $16 for late pick-up after 3:00 p.m. on the day of departure.

  • 90 minutes – 2.5 hours: $12
